Speakers will explain the Monetary Award Program concerns during the second Illinois State Budget and MAP Grant rally.

Hosted by the Student Association Senate, the rally will be held 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the MLK Commons.

Current MAP Grant recipients will speak at the rally. Over one-third of undergraduate students are recipients of the MAP Grant.

Other speakers include:

• NIU student leaders
• Student government association leaders
• Community leaders
• NIU administration

A place will be provided to write letters to legislators as a way to voice concerns to the larger government. An early voting table will also be present at the event.

Free hot chocolate and coffee will be provided to those who participate.
