Anthropology Department to show rare architecture

By Northern Star staff

Mississippian architecture can be found in Illinois along the Mississippi River.

Archaeologist Sissel Schroeder, University of Wisconsin-Madison professor, will lead a discussion about this ancient architecture from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight in Cole Hall, Room 100.

The presentation is hosted by the Anthropology Department and explores the rare architecture from Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Collinsville, Illinois, to Moundville Archaeological Site in Moundville, Alabama.
