The NIU community is invited to join the Take Back the Night rally 7 to 9:30 p.m. tonight starting at MLK Commons.

Take Back the Night is an international initiative by the Center for the Study of Women, Gender & Sexuality with the mission to create a safe community and respectful relationships. The event is to raise awareness and initiative about all types of sexual abuse and violence, domestic violence, dating violence and to bring and end to it.

After the rally participants will proceed to march from the MLK Commons to the East Lagoon. There will be a reception followed by a bonfire.

The Center for the Study of Women, Gender & Sexuality invites students to come participate and support the initiative.
