Afri-fest to celebrate African culture in three events

The African Students Association will host three consecutive days of Afri-fest.
An Independence Day Gala will be held at 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 27 to celebrate the independence day in African countries between July and December. The Gala will be in the Duke Ellington Ballroom in Holmes Student Center. Tickets to the Gala are $5 per person.
ASA will be in the MLK Commons for Africa Gives Back 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28. The association will pass out food to the NIU community.
Afri-fest concludes with a concert 8 p.m. Saturday at the Carl Sandburg Auditorium in Holmes Student Center. The musical concert showcases African music and NIU student talents. Tickets are $5 per person.
