By Jay Ibarra

The 25th annual MTV Movie Awards are premiering at 7 p.m. on April 10 and will be hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, who are both nominees themselves.

Golden popcorn statue will be going home to winners of 14 different categories, but we have predicted five of the possible winners to look out for before Sunday’s show. Hart was nominated for Best Comedic Performance in “Ride Along 2” and Johnson for Best Action Performance and Best Hero in “San Andreas” and Ensemble Cast for “Furious 7.”

Movie of the Year

Cast members of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” are nominated for 11 awards, but they are likely to win the biggest award of the night — Movie of the Year. This movie was highly anticipated at the box office last winter and did very well with “Star Wars” fans when they brought back original cast members to reprise their old roles. The film had incredible special effects and an outstanding story-line to keep your eyes glued to the screen. The cast also had great on-screen chemistry, both the new cast and the old really pulled you on as they fought against Kylo Ren. The force feels strong with this prediction.

Best Female Performance

Daisy Ridley from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was a leader in the new “Star Wars” film. Her strength showed both on-screen and off that she is able to handle such a big franchise like “Star Wars” on her shoulders. Her performance in this film was captivating, Ridley kept up effortlessly with legends, Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca. This performance is going to earn her a golden popcorn statue, hopefully one of many for the “Star Wars” cast.

Best male performance

Everyone is still talking about Chris Pratt’s awesome performance in “Jurassic World” . Pratt’s infamous scene where he tamed the raptors is still being recreated, retweeted and shared all around the web. This performance is sure to win him a golden popcorn awards statue because of the fans love for this film. The “Jurassic Park” franchise is classic and Pratt’s ability to continue to do the franchise justice will win him his award.

Breakthrough Performance

Brie Larson won several awards this season for her performance in the film “Room.” Larson has already picked up an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for the year, and a MTV Movie Award could be next on her list. She gave a beautiful performance in “Room,” portraying a young mother held captive with her son in a room. Finally escaping years later, she struggles to rediscover their new freedom. Larson gave a moving performance and might just pick up another award.

Best Kiss

Everyone’s newest favorite comic duo, Amy Schumer and Bill Hader, ended “Trainwreck” with the best kiss of all time. MTV is known for having the best kiss category and this year’s award will definitely go to “Trainwreck.” Schumer and Hader ended the movie with a kiss that put them on the floor rolling around, in front of the Knicks City Dancers. It was such a true comedic moment that is sure to win them an award this year.
