The NIU Art Museum will hold its spring 2016 Art Deco Era which will run two major and two smaller art exhibitions through various Altgeld Hall rooms from Thursday through May 20.

The major exhibitions are titled, “Between the Wars: Contrasts, Parallels, Shifts and Patterns” and “Beyond Gatsby: Common Luxury in American Art Deco.”

Its smaller exhibitions will be “The Chicagoan: a periodical of the Era” and “Deco and Art Moderne Architecture in Illinois.”

Each exhibition includes art by NIU students that explores different techniques, styles and cultures.
