Women’s tennis falls out of conference race
April 18, 2016
Women’s tennis (6-12, 1-5 MAC) went 0-2 over the weekend, dropping games to the University at Buffalo on Friday and Western Michigan University on Saturday.
Junior Adey Osabuohien came up big again for the Huskies, winning her singles matches in both games. She won two of the three singles matches NIU won all weekend, the other coming from freshman Meghan Montgomerie.
The Huskies have now lost five games in a row and eight of their last 10. They remain in sixth place in the MAC and have just two games remaining in the regular season.
The team’s next chance to break its losing streak will come against Miami University — the teams will square off at 1 p.m. Friday at the West Tennis Courts.
