Gombera’s improved lineup leads to big win

By Danielle Brown

Women’s tennis won big Saturday, defeating the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in a 6-1 matchup and moving to 5-4 on the year.

Head coach Tanya Gombera made some changes to her lineup and said she thinks it helped the Huskies in the win. She also said she made changes to doubles matchups to get the Huskies on track.

Junior Adey Osabuohien won her eighth consecutive No. 1 singles matchup and won her doubles match, paired with sophomore Evelyn Youel. Youel also went on to win her No. 5 singles match.

The Huskies’ next challenge will come this week — the team will play against Drake University at 10 a.m. Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
