DeKalb Area Women’s Center to hold Women In To Light
March 10, 2016
The School of Theatre and Dance will hold a play Women In To Light as part of DeKalb Area Women’s Center’s programming for Women’s History Month, according to a School of Theatre and Dance news release.
The play will be held 2 p.m. March 13 at the DeKalb Area Women’s Center, 1021 State St.
The play focuses on women, “forgotten by history and popular culture,” according to the news release. A discussion will follow the performance regarding the process of devising the play and the research that went into the historical figures within it.
This event is free and open to the public but the center suggests a donation for the performance of $5, one Sacagawea golden coin or one Susan B. Anthony silver coin. All donations will go directly to the DeKalb Area Women’s Center.
