Men’s tennis (9-4) played three games over the weekend, losing to Butler University 4-3 on Friday but bouncing back with two wins, beating Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Western Illinois University by scores of 7-0 on Saturday.

“After letting last night’s opportunity to beat Butler slip through our hands, our guys were determined to play aggressive, attack and never let up,” said NIU head coach Patrick Fisher, according to an NIU Athletics news release. “We did that and our results today show it, so I could not be happier for our guys. Now we get some time to work on the areas we need to improve the most.”

The Huskies will have a 12-day layoff as their next game isn’t until March 2 against Marquette.
