Sebenste: Incoming snow storm to mostly miss DeKalb
February 24, 2016
DeKalb will receive an inch of snow from the storm today, said NIU Meteorologist Gilbert Sebenste.
The snow storm is caused by an intense low pressure system in southeast Texas that is moving up toward Ohio, Sebenste said.
Chicago will be hit with 2-4 inches of snow. The northwest suburbs will receive around 1-3 inches. Other colleges such as the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. will receive around 6 inches of snow.
Other states such as Indiana and Michigan will also be hit by the snow storm.
“DeKalb is just going to be nicked by a corner of it,” Sebenste said.
