The 88th Annual Academy Awards will be at 6 p.m. Sunday on ABC. Many of the nominees could win their first Oscar ever.

Here are my Academy Award predictions for the following categories:

Best Picture: “The Revenant”

With an all-star cast, Oscar-winning filmmaker and real-life story line, it feels like a big Oscar win to me. Leonardo Dicaprio depicts a character that is mauled by a bear and abandoned by his hunting team. Dicaprio’s character travels thousands of miles through the rural American West fueled with vengeance.

Actor in a Leading Role: Leonardo Dicaprio, “The Revenant”

Leonardo Dicaprio had an amazing performance as Hugh Glass, making every scene of survival as captivating and chilling as the last.

Actress In a Leading Role: Brie Larson, “Room”

Brie Larson showed real strength taking on this role and telling this tough story. Larson took on a tough role as a newly freed kidnapped victim that was held captive in a room with her son.

Music (Original Score): John Williams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”

The music in the newest installment of Star Wars was just magical. John Williams’ score gave the movie so much life — it was utter nostalgia from the second the sound hits the screen.
