Anthropology Club to hold event for World Anthropology Day
February 18, 2016
Anthropology Club will hold a social event featuring live music, food and drinks in honor of World Anthropology Day 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Cole Hall, room 100 and the lobby.
The event will feature a screening of the documentary “Poto Mitan: Haitian Women, Pillars of the Global Community.” The Pick Museum will also be open to guests.
Rachel Slowik, a graduate student majoring in anthropology, said anthropology lets people get a better understanding of humanity and culture.
“I’m most excited for the museum,” Slowik said. “ … It’s always open during school hours so I never have time to visit. I’m glad I get to attend since this fits into my schedule.”
