Safe Passage will hold Walk a Mile in Her Shoes April 2 in honor of sexual assault awareness month, according to a Safe Passage flier.

Safe Passage is the only rape crisis center in DeKalb County.

The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event will be done in heels. Heels will be provided at a $25 entrance fee. Participants are also allowed to bring their own heels as well.

The event will create an interactive way for community members to engage in critical conversation about a hard conversation topic such as sexual violence, according to the flier.

The walk will be held at 10 a.m. on April 2 at the empty Campus Cinemas Parking lot of Blackhawk Dr. in DeKalb. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the empty parking lot where the walk will begin.
