Junior outside hitter T’ara Austin matches the record of three former NIU legends by winning MAC honors four times in one season.

Austin received the MAC West Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after NIU’s MAC regular season championship victory over Bowling Green and Western Michigan. This achievement has only been completed by three former players: Cathy Holmes, Mackenzie Roddy and Lauren Wicinski.

Austin, who won the award alongside Eastern Michigan’s Cathy Haut, led the team with 13 kills and 13.5 points in the game against Western Michigan on Thursday. 

The Huskies will compete in the MAC Tournament at 4:30 pm on Saturday in Athens, Ohio.
