A report made of a robbery on campus on Friday was a false report, according to Commander Jim McDougall of the DeKalb police department.

McDougall said they are still completing the investigation, but believe at this time that the report was false.

“No one on campus is in danger,” McDougall said.

McDougall said the police are still completing reports from the weekend and once those are completed, will meet with the state’s attorney to see if charges will be filed for filing a false police report.

“We’ll know more by the end of the week,” McDougall said.
