Student Involvement & Leadership Development is looking for students, faculty and staff volunteers for this year’s Make a Difference Day.

Make a Difference Day allows NIU volunteers to venture out into the community to help local residents with lawn clean-up and other neighborhood projects, according to an NIU Marketing and Communications news release. The event will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3 in neighborhoods throughout DeKalb, including Pleasant St. and Ellwood Historic Neighborhoods, according to NIU Marketing and Communications.
