Volleyball (3-1) will travel to Columbus, Ohio, this weekend for the Sports Imports D.C. Koehl Classic.

The team’s first matchup this week will be against Ohio State (2-1) at 11 a.m. Saturday. The weekend will be capped off with a contest against Florida State (2-1) at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Huskies went undefeated last weekend, defeating both Iowa and Milwaukee in 3-1 games. Saturday’s game against Ohio State will mark the team’s first away game of the year.

Ohio State is coming off a season where it went 23-12, ending its season with a loss in the NCAA tournament to Wisconsin. It has won 20-plus games in four out of their last five seasons.

Senior outside hitter Elizabeth Campbell was an All-America mention in 2014 after she posted totals of 346 kills, 206 digs, 71 blocks and 25 aces.

Florida State went 30-3 and undefeated at home in 2014, ending with a loss to BYU in the Seattle Regional Semifinal.

Senior outside hitter Nicole Walch garnered All-ACC first team honors last year after leading the team in kills with 487 and aces with 35. She also had 15 double-doubles, 305 digs and 3.99 kills per set.

Walch went on to win ACC Player of the Week three times, creeping into the top 10 of multiple categories in FSU’s history.

With wins this weekend, the Huskies can move to 5-1 on the year before heading to the Wichita State Invitational Sept. 10, when they’ll play three games in three nights against Wichita State, Kansas State and Kentucky, including a televised game against Wichita State on ESPN3.
