Following a four-game losing streak, volleyball (4-8) will finish off its eight-game home stand as it takes on Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.

The Huskies have lost seven of their last eight games after starting the season 3-1. They’ve managed to put up just four points in their last four games while giving up 12. The team has also won just one game on the road.

Central Michigan comes in at 5-8 and 0-3 on the road through 13 games. The Chippewas have won two out of their last three games, losing to Evansville 3-1 but defeating San Jose State and Nebraska-Omaha both by final scores of 3-0.

Eastern Michigan comes in at 8-5 and has lost back-to-back games to Illinois State and Dayton. The team started the season 6-1, but has slowed down lately. The Eagles have yet to play a game at home this season, but is 2-3 on the road and 6-2 at neutral locations.

The games will mark the first conference play of the season for all three teams. NIU will begin the weekend at 7 p.m. on Friday against Central Michigan, and will end at 7 p.m. on Sunday against Eastern Michigan. The Huskies can improve to 6-8 on the campaign with wins in both games.
