The eighth annual Veterans Weekend motorcycle ride will be held Sept. 19.

The staging of the ride will run from noon to 12:45 p.m. at Hyvee, 2700 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore, and will go to retirement, assisted living and nursing homes in DeKalb and Sycamore to honor veterans. The ride will end at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St.

Free hot dogs will be made available for anyone who checks in at Hyvee before 12:45 p.m. Motorcycles are not needed for participation in the event. The event will happen as planned rain or shine, according to a DeKalb County Forty and Eight Voiture 207 news release.
