Students selling, delivering fresh smoothies out of Barsema Hall

By Northern Star staff

Students are selling smoothies in Barsema Hall and delivering their goods to academic buildings for a class project.

IVY Juice, a student-run smoothie bar selling fresh-made juice and smoothies, was started by Chris Landry, senior hospitality management major, and a group of business students for a class project. IVY Juice is open 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays in the Barsema Hall atrium.

IVY Juice has been open since March 4 in Barsema Hall and it will close April 22. Smoothies are made with fresh fruit and cost $3. Pre-orders and deliveries to academic department buildings only are available through the IVY Juice’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/IVYjuicebar.

“It’s an entrepreneurial project for management class,” Landry said. “We were told to come up with an eight-week business project, and we decided that students didn’t have a lot of options with regard to smoothies.”
