NIU President Doug Baker has appointed Paul Bauer, former director of the School of Music, to serve as interim dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts starting May 1.

Rich Holly, former dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, accepted a position at North Carolina State University in March. Bauer will serve as dean until a permanent dean is found for fall 2016, according to an NIU news release.

“I am very much looking forward to working with familiar, fine colleagues and will endeavor to support the outstanding work of the students, faculty and staff in the college and the success of the university as a whole,” Bauer said, according to NIU.
