Donations for tornado victims being accepted at Huskie Bowl block party

Those attending the Huskie Bowl can also donate supplies for the victims of Thursday’s tornadoes in northern Illinois.
Donations will be accepted at tables during the Communiversity Block Party on the west side of Huskie Stadium. The tables will be staffed by Student Involvement and Leadership Development, which is also collecting supplies in the Campus Life Building, Suite 150.
The communiversity block party starts at noon. The Huskie Bowl starts at 2 p.m.
SILD has requested people donate:
- Hand sanitizer
- Water
- Blankets
- Ready-to-eat food
- Baby wipes
- Diapers
- Hand wipes
- First aid items
- Animal food and cages
- Clothes
- Boxes or bins
