Nick Misitano, owner of DeKalb Tattoo Company, will give $20 tattoos to benefit victims of Thursday’s tornado Wednesday and Thursday.

Misitano will do the tattoos at DeKalb Tattoo Company, 817 W. Lincoln Highway. Misitano said he’ll do whatever kind of designs people want as long as he can get them done in 10 to 15 minutes.

The tattoos are first come, first serve, according to a DeKalb Tattoo Company Facebook post.

Misitano said he decided to do $20 tattoos to help out everyone in the community who got hit by the storm and to make back what he has already spent on relief supplies.

“It’s the next town over, you know?” Misitano said. “It could’ve been us.”

Alyssa Buelow, a student at Kishwaukee College, said she saw the Facebook post from DeKalb Tattoo Company and decided to get her fifth tattoo.

“It’s for a good cause and anybody who’s ever gotten a tattoo always kind of has that itch for a new one,” Buelow said.

Buelow got an owl tattoo on the top of her right foot.
