DeKalb collecting donations for Fairdale tornado victims

Locals can drop off donations for the victims of the Fairdale tornado 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at City Hall, 200 S. Fourth St.
Fairdale, where two people died after a Thursday night tornado, non-perishable food, first aid kits and baby formula, among other things, according to a city news release.
Blankets, towels, wash cloths and water are no longer needed, according to DeKalb.

- Flashlights
- Heavy duty garbage bags
- Cleaning supplies
- Laundry supplies
- First aid kits (in Ziploc bags if possible)
- Pet food
- Ibuprofen
- Advil
- Aleve
- Hand sanitizer
- Toiletries
- Baby clothes
- Batteries (AA, D)
- Baby formula
- Plastic silverware
- Non-perishable food items
- Pack and plays
- Gently used car seats
