Locals will be able to celebrate art at the inaugural Artigras on May 2.

The event will feature an arts parade 3 to 4 p.m. starting in downtown DeKalb and ending at the School of Art and Design. Afterward, shuttles will take attendees between five exhibition venues where work from NIU students will be showcased.

There will also be musical performances from Community School of the Arts Steelband and the NIUkulele Ensemble. The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra will perform at a ticketed event.
