The School of Theatre and Dance will hold a free performance of “Marat/Sade” 7:30 p.m. Monday at Grant Tower South, lower level.

“Marat/Sade” is a play about a group of asylum inmates in 19th century France who produce a play that tells the story of Jean-Paul Marat’s assassination, according to the School of Theatre and Dance’s website.

This is the last time the play will be performed at NIU before its March 28 performance at the International Adana Theatre Festival in Adana, Turkey.

“The students are performing this one last time … to make sure that they have everything right before going to Turkey,” said David Booth, marketing director for the School of Theatre and Dance.
