Discover Sycamore is looking for college musicians for its weekly Farmers Market.

The Sycamore Farmers market is 3-7 p.m. Tuesdays from June 2 to Sept. 29 on the corner of Somonauk and Elm streets in Sycamore. The market features fruits, breads, meats, cheeses and more from local farmers. Musicians will perform 5-6:30 p.m. during the market days.

Amber Gerardy, Events and Marketing assistant at the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce, said there are 13 confirmed vendors for this year’s market, including a taco truck, meat market, winery and artists.

Gerardy said she’d love to bring more college students into the market.

Gerardy said the chamber is not holding auditions per se, but if a group is interested in performing it can email her its website or music files.

Gerardy said performing is on a volunteer basis so performers will not receive compensation. Call 815-895-3456 for more information.
