Senior gymnast Amanda Stepp earned her second-straight NCAA Regionals berth, the NCAA announced Monday.

Stepp will compete in the Norman Regional, which will be hosted by Oklahoma University at 4 p.m. April 4 in Norman, Okla. She is one of four qualifiers from Illinois universities in the region.

Stepp qualified as an individual event specialist and will compete on vault; last season she qualified for floor exercise. Stepp scored a career-high 9.9 on vault at the State of Illinois Classic on Feb. 7 and then duplicated the score Feb. 5 against the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

This is the eighth time in the last nine years and 14th time in the last 16 season that NIU has sent at least one gymnast to the NCAA Regionals.
