Reading is a good way to spend your time no matter where you plan to be this Spring Break.
This list of popular books is sure to keep you occupied while you’re lying on a beach enjoying the sun.
“The Longest Ride” by Nicholas Sparks
This novel tells the story of Luke, a young, handsome bull-riding champion, and a college student named Sophia. They meet and fall in love.
But, Luke’s love for rodeo and Sophia’s desire for New York City art life threaten to tear them apart. As they test the waters of their romantic future, they find inspiration in an elderly man named Ira, who has a lifelong love story to tell.
With the film adaptation of this novel being released April 10, Spring Break is the perfect time to catch up before the movie comes out.
“American Sniper” by Chris Kyle
This autobiography is sure to interest any reader who enjoys war stories and history.
Although “American Sniper” is not a typical beach read, it tells great, true stories of family and friendship. It tells the stories of Navy Seal Chris Kyle, who recorded the most sniper kills in U.S. military history during his service in Iraq.
Although Kyle was killed in 2013, this autobiography tell stories of war, pain and the importance of family. “American Sniper” is a great alternative to a college romance novel.
“Maybe Someday” by Colleen Hoover
This novel is about a 22-year-old music major named Sydney Blake who moves in with the boy next door, Ridge Lawson, after realizing her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her roommate.
Soon after moving in, Blake discovers there is more to her shy neighbor than she anticipated. The two begin to communicate through music and realize what they’ve found in each other is more than either of them could have imagined. This novel is a fun read any romance or music lover will enjoy.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” by E.L. James
This novel tells the story of a college student named Anastasia Steele who begins to fall for a young billionaire named Christian Grey.
After getting closer to Grey, Steele realizes he has an unexpected side. This popular novel is sure to please readers over Spring Break, especially since you can see the film adaptation.
