NIU College of Law to hold Medical Marijuana Symposium

The College of Law will hold a Medical Marijuana Symposium 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 17 in Altgeld Hall, Room 315.
This event is a conference to discuss Illinois’ marijuana pilot program, according to an NIU news release. Illinois’ marijuana regulation will be compared to those of other states. Presenters will include Dan Linn, executive director of the Illinois chapter of National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws.
The conference will be a general overview of the law itself. Linn said the event will help students navigate laws for when they start practices.
A registration fee of $35 includes two meals. Half-day options are also available.
