Free screening of “Pride” film to be held Wednesday

A free screening of “Pride” will be held Wednesday.

“Pride” is based on the true story of a group of British gay and lesbian activists who raised money to help miners during a strike in 1984. The film received the Queer Palm award at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

The screening will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the LaTourette Hall Auditorium, according to a Facebook event page.
