Vice President Lesley Rigg will leave NIU July 1, according to an NIUToday news release.

Rigg is leaving to be dean of faculty of science at the University of Calgary in Canada, according to the release. She has served as a professor in the Department of Geography since 1998 and was an associate dean for research and graduate affairs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Rigg served as vice president of Research and Innovation Partnerships for the past two years, working with federal labs and supporting NIU’s research programs as well as the commercialization of scientific inventions, according to the release.
