NIU men’s tennis: Huskies serve Butler a 4-3 loss

Men’s tennis squeaked out win over the Butler Bulldogs to pick up its first road win of the spring season.
The Huskies (6-2) beat the Bulldogs, 4-3, Saturday in Indianapolis, Ind. NIU improved to 1-2 on the road with the win.
The Huskies dropped the doubles point but rebounded strong in singles play to take the win. They won four of the six singles matches.
Doubles
No. 1: Senior Frederic Cadieux and freshman Kevin Daun lost 6-2
No. 2: Freshmen Louis-Philippe Hamel and Georg Lundkvist lost 7-6
No. 3: Junior Simon Formont and freshman Tom Hjertonsson won 6-4
Singles
No. 1: Cadieux won 2-6, 6-1, 6-0
No. 2: Formont won 5-7, 6-4, 6-2
No. 3: Hjertonsson lost 6-4, 6-3
No. 4: Hamel won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4
No. 5: Lundkvist lost 6-4, 7-5
No. 6: Sophomore Carlos Manzanas won 6-0, 6-3
