A man was robbed by men with a weapon 9:25 p.m. Monday night near the 1200 block of Varsity Boulevard and North Annie Glidden Road, according to an NIU Police safety bulletin.

The victim, a student, said he was approached by two males with a silver weapon who demanded he give them his belongings, which included a backpack with a laptop and about $60 in cash, according to the safety bulletin.

The offenders, as described by the victim, are a tall, black man and a short, black man wearing black hoodies and gold Timberland shoes. The offenders fled the scene with the victim’s belongings toward 7-Eleven, 930 N. Annie Glidden Road, according to the safety bulletin.

Police are investigating the case and encourage suspicious behavior to be reported to the NIU Police at 815-753-1212 or anonymously at 815-753-8477.
