A student was robbed by men with a weapon 9:25 p.m. Monday night near the 1200 block of Varsity Boulevard and North Annie Glidden Road, according to an NIU Police safety bulletin.

The victim said he was approached by two males with a silver weapon who demanded he give them his belongings, which included a backpack with a laptop and about $60 in cash, according to the safety bulletin.

The offenders, as described by the victim, are a tall, black man and a short, black man wearing black hoodies and gold Timberland shoes. The offenders fled the scene with the victim’s belongings toward 7-Eleven, 930 N. Annie Glidden Road, according to the safety bulletin.

Police are investigating the case and encourage suspicious behavior to be reported to the NIU Police at 815-753-1212 or anonymously at 815-753-8477.
