October 14, 2014
Even though you weren’t lucky enough to study abroad this semester, close your eyes and enjoy these overseas shots to feel like you’re in a faraway place.

English Morning
What you need:

- 1/2 ounce Kahlúa coffee liqueur
- 1/2 ounce amaretto almond liqueur

Bandera
What you need:
- 2-ounce shooter (tall shot glass)
- Small spoon
- 1/2 ounce grenadine
- 1/2 ounce green crème de menthe liqueur
- 1/2 ounce tequila
What to do:
- Pour grenadine into a shot glass.
- Layer the green crème de menthe on top of the grenadine by pouring the liqueur onto the back of a spoon to prevent immediate mixture or discoloration of the shot.
- Layer the tequila on top of the green crème de menthe using the back of a spoon. Layering takes some practice, so don’t get discouraged if the first couple of drinks turn out to be one color.
Banana Stand
What you will need:
- Rocks glass (6-ounce shot glass)
- 2 ounces light rum
- 1 ounce white crème de cacao liqueur
- 1 ounce cream
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 banana
- Nutmeg
What to do:
- Set aside a slice of banana and add the rest of the banana and all other ingredients into a blender.
- Pour the ingredients into a rocks glass.
- Top with a banana wedge (one slice of banana pushed onto the edge of the glass).
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top of the drink.
- Do not take too long to drink or the ingredients will separate in your glass.
