NIU has ranked 74th in Trojan’s ninth annual Sexual Health Report Card college rankings for the second consecutive year, according to an Oct. 20 Trojan news release.
The widely criticized study, conducted by independent research firm Sperling’s BestPlaces, graded 140 universities on their services in 11 categories, including hours of operation, appointment requirements for health services, quality of sexual health information and resources on website, contraceptive availability, condom availability, HIV and STI testing on-site outreach programs, website usability sexual assault services and extra credit.
Oregon State University placed first, while Brigham Young University took last place.
According to a study done by the condom company, adults ages 18-22 reportedly use condoms more often than older adults, ages 23-24.
