Engineers Without Borders will collect shoe donations 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Martin Luther King Jr. Commons for children in need.

The group will donate the shoes to Soles 4 Souls, an organization that distributes shoes to children across the United States. The event is a part of Toms’ One Day Without Shoes.

Local businesses will assist in the collection process. Goodwill will donate shoes, Famous Footwear will distribute coupons during the event and Kohl’s will bring volunteers and help cover shipping costs.
