October 19, 2014
Women’s golf struggled to get anything going over the weekend at the Hoosier Fall Invitational in Noblesville, Ind., its last fall tournament.
Friday, the Huskies (319) finished eighth out of eight teams in the stroke-play portion of the tournament. Indiana (299) took first place in stroke play.
Saturday, Connie Ellett was the lone Huskie to win both match play events. She beat Indiana’s Alix Kong and Boston College’s Katie Barrand. Sam Coyne was the only other Huskie to win a match play event, beating Boston College’s Jocelyn Chia.
NIU closed out the tournament and its fall season Sunday.
