At 12:03 a.m. Sept. 20, aggravated battery was reported to have occurred at the 800 block of Lucinda Ave. near Neptune West. The case is open.

NIU and DeKalb Police responded to a reported battery Saturday. A victim was assaulted by a group of men who were walking east on the south sidewalk. The victim was transported to Kishwaukee Hospital and was unable to describe the offenders.

There were about 10 offenders. They are described as black males, two reported to have been wearing red shirts and blue jeans.

The case is under investigation by the DeKalb Police Department and NIU Police.
