SA Senate election voter turnout falls

An official report from the OneCard office shows a turnout decline of 11 voters for Student Association Senate elections since last fall’s election.

The report, issued Thursday, shows the SA Senate elections saw 739 registered voters: 382 voters on Tuesday and 357 voters Wednesday. The report was released to the Northern Star by Joe Palmer, SA Public Affairs director.

According to a Sept. 26 Northern Star article, 750 students voted in the 2013 SA Senate election, 675 voted in the 2012 election and 937 voted in the 2011 election.
