Career Services is offering online preparation workshops and practice, allowing students to prepare for job interviews, beginning Monday.

Students may register online at niu.edu/careerservices/crc to participate in the workshops. The workshops will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from Monday to Oct. 15.

The workshops will offer interactive sessions where students will learn what not to do during an interview as well as how to identify different types of interviews, analyze job descriptions and write and practice a 30-second introduction speech.

Online interview practice will be from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, while classes are held. This practice will assist students in preparing for online interviews that employers may conduct through Skype or other video messaging services.

Students may also go to interview.niu.edu for tips on how to prepare for an internship interview, career fair or full-time job.
