USOAR offering grants for projects

The Undergraduate Special Opportunities in Artistry and Research Program is calling for student research project proposals worthy of grants up to $2,500.

USOAR provides grants to student-generated research projects conducted on campus.

In order to submit a project proposal, students can seek the approval of a faculty member for their idea and submit it to [email protected].

Guidelines for proposals can be found at niu.edu/usoar.

Fall submissions must be made by Oct. 3, while spring submissions must be made by Feb. 6.

Projects must be completed by Dec. 31, 2015, regardless of the semester the award is received.

For more information, workshops are available 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Sept. 17 or 18 for fall 2014, or Dec. 3, 4 and Jan. 13, 14 for spring 2015 in Altgeld Hall, Room 100.
