Kevin P. Ouwenga, 29, of Tinley Park, was arrested for possession of child pornography.

At noon Nov. 20, child pornography was reported to have been found by police at New Residence Hall West.

The case was closed Wednesday after Tinley Park Police Department made the arrest of the former NIU student.

According to a Nov. 14 Northern Star article, Ouwenga was arrested for unlawful possession of firearms after weapons were found in his residence hall room on Nov. 12.
