A football player has been suspended after being charged with possessing pot.

Angelo J. Sebastiano, 21, of Boca Raton, was charged with possession of cannabis 30 grams and under Wednesday.

A NIU Athletics spokesperson said the redshirt sophomore has been suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules, but the spokesperson had no other comment.
