The DeKalb County Health Department has received a grant from the County Community Foundation for equipment.
Media equipment can be updated and educational materials for classes for the department’s Women, Infant, and Children program can be purchased with the grant.
The program promotes good nutrition and educates new moms about breastfeeding, according to a news release from the health department.
The County Community Foundation addresses community needs and distributes philanthropic resources, according to the release.
“This upgrade will allow our staff to provide our clients with a better quality educational experience to positively influence their family’s nutrition,” said public health administrator Jane Lux in the news release.
