Police said a man was jumped by about eight people Monday in the 800 block of Hillcrest Drive.

DeKalb Police Sgt. James Haacker said the victim received mostly facial injuries and was released from the scene. Haacker said witnesses reported the victim was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked by the group before they fled the scene. The case is under investigation.
