Harvest these autumn dishes, drinks

Start your day off with a mug of pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. Enjoy chili with a glass of Samuel Adams Oktoberfest for dinner, and for desert, a slice of pumpkin pie and an alcoholic apple cider.

Fall is a great season because of its delicious food and drink options. Here are my favorite autumn dishes and beverages.

Chili

The first fall food would have to be chili. It can be made for dinner or as a game day meal.

“I love everything about chili,” said Francesca Zozzaro, senior political science and philosophy major. “You say chili, and I’m there.”

Drinks

There are few distinct drinks that make you think of the fall season like the pumpkin spiced latte.

For those older than 21, consider Sam Adams Octoberfest beer and apple cider mixed with alcohol.

Octoberfest is to fall what Summer Shandy is to summer: a must-have. Make apple cider delicious by combining it with sugar and Everclear. Just make sure to be careful with Everclear. If not 21, have the drink without Everclear.

Pumpkin Pie

The final recipe I recommend is pumpkin pie.

For college students, buying premade pumpkin pie will always be the safest bet. I tend to buy the Sara Lee brand.

“When I think of fall, I think of Halloween and Thanksgiving,” said senior nursing major Kaylee White. “I’m mostly excited for Thanksgiving with a side of pumpkin pie topped with vanilla ice cream and eating until I can’t breathe.”
