On Wednesday, Jennifer Rosato, College of Law dean, received the Distinguished Leadership Award from Secretary of State Jesse White.

The award was given to Rosato during White’s National Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. Rosato is the first Latina woman to head the College of Law.

“Dean Rosato’s impressive career in law and legal education has set a high standard of achievement for those who follow in her footsteps,” White said, according to NIU Today.

The event was meant to highlight the social contributions made by Hispanic individuals across the country and to celebrate cultural diversity.
